Empowering Educators: Positive Behavior Support Workshop
Led by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), our workshop is dedicated to empowering educators with confidence in supporting their child's social, emotional, and behavioral development and overall well-being. This group-based workshop offers an inclusive environment where participants can connect and create a supportive community to navigate challenges together.
During this six-week workshop, participants will learn how to:
Gain insights into the underlying functions of challenging behaviors and learn to interpret the messages behind their students' actions.
Acquire practical tools and techniques to prevent challenging behaviors from escalating and effectively intervene when they occur.
Learn techniques to help their students communicate their needs and emotions in appropriate ways.
Through guided exercises and discussions, all participants will develop personalized behavior support plans tailored to the unique needs of their students to share with their colleagues and the students' family members.
Upcoming Session Dates and Times Coming Soon!
The workshop is primarily geared towards young children ages 2-8 in early childhood education settings and preschool through 3rd grades. If you need support for an older child or adult, we can arrange a workshop specifically for older children or adults.
We work 1:1 with schools and families to identify the reasons behind a student’s challenging behavior and create a step-by-step plan for positive change.
Our Tier 3 Function-based plan development for students in General Education settings include interviews and team collaboration to design function-based strategies that prevent problem behaviors, teach new skills, and support lasting success in the classroom and at home.
Our FBA/BIP process for students with 504 Acommodation Plans or Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) includes direct observations and data collection, interviews, and team collaboration to design function-based strategies that prevent problem behaviors, teach new skills, and support lasting success in the classroom and at home.
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will provide supervision towards certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Please review the BCBA eligibility requirements and Handbook before starting to obtain your supervised fieldwork hours. The document can be found here on the BACB website (www.bacb.com).
A safe space for professionals working in the education system to ask questions and share experiences and resources.
