The Empowering Families! Positive Behavior Support workshop gives parents and caregivers a welcoming space to connect, share experiences, and practice strategies that strengthen everyday routines and relationships.
Guided by our Steps to Empowerment Framework (Connection, Confidence, Collaboration, and Change), this six-week series helps families:
Recognize the purpose behind behaviors that are challenging and learn what children may be trying to communicate.
Use proactive strategies to prevent behaviors from escalating and respond effectively when they do occur.
Teach and encourage positive ways for children to express needs and emotions.
Through interactive activities and group discussion, participants develop individualized behavior support plans tailored to their child’s needs, leaving with practical tools and the confidence to apply them consistently at home, school, and in the community.
Upcoming Session Dates and Times Coming Soon!
The workshop is primarily geared towards young children ages 2-8. If you need support for an older child or adult, we can arrange a workshop specifically for older children or adults.
A member of our team will provide individualized support to address your child's mild to moderate challenging behavior and help you teach them to communicate in more effective ways.
We work 1:1 with schools and families to identify the reasons behind a student’s challenging behavior and create a step-by-step plan for positive change.
Our Tier 3 Function-based plan development for students in General Education settings includes interviews and team collaboration to design function-based strategies that prevent problem behaviors, teach new skills, and support lasting success in the classroom and at home.
Our FBA/BIP process for students with 504 Accommodation Plans or Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) includes direct observations and data collection, interviews, and team collaboration to design function-based strategies that prevent problem behaviors, teach new skills, and support lasting success in the classroom and at home.
