The Empowering Educators! Positive Behavior Support workshop provides teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and school staff with a collaborative space to share challenges, strengthen skills, and build confidence in supporting student social, emotional, and behavioral success.
Guided by our Steps to Empowerment Framework (Connection, Confidence, Collaboration, and Change), this six-week series helps educators:
Identify the functions of student behavior and understand what those behaviors may be communicating.
Implement proactive strategies and clear expectations to prevent escalation and respond effectively when behaviors occur.
Support students in developing positive ways to communicate needs and regulate emotions.
Through interactive learning and peer collaboration, participants design individualized, function-based behavior support plans that align with classroom practices and can be shared with colleagues and families to ensure consistency across environments.
Upcoming Session Dates and Times Coming Soon!
The workshop is primarily geared towards Pre-K through early elementary (approximately ages 2-8 years old). If you need support for older students or adults, please complete the form to express interest, and we can arrange a workshop designed for those learners.
We work directly with schools and families to identify the reasons behind a student’s challenging behavior and create a step-by-step plan for positive change.
Our Tier 3 function-based support for students in general education settings includes interviews and team collaboration to design strategies that prevent problem behaviors, teach new skills, and promote lasting success both in the classroom and at home.
For students with 504 Accommodation Plans or Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), we provide a full Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) process. This includes direct observations, data collection, interviews, and team collaboration to ensure strategies are tailored, practical, and sustainable across environments.
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will provide supervision towards certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Please review the 2027 BCBA Requirements and BCBA Handbook before starting to obtain your supervised fieldwork hours. Both documents can be found here on the BACB website.
Using the MindSet Curriculum, a certified instructor will train your staff on how to effectively use verbal de-escalation and containment (restraint) procedures to prevent and manage aggressive and other dangerous behavior.
